Ruti - Lungs

Another one of those songs/artists that randomly cross my path.

And then checks all the boxes.

Ruti’s vocals float effortlessly—light and delicate. But it carries the weight of the world.

The song is intimate, almost too close for comfort, as Ruti sings about the things we’re all afraid to say out loud. It’s a meditation on the quiet desperation of trying to hold it all together when you’re not even sure what “it” is anymore. It’s about breathing when everything feels too heavy, about the dread that comes from uncertainty in a world that’s moving too fast.

And yet, beneath that anxiety, there’s a deep sense of longing—longing for peace, for certainty, for a moment where you can just exist without the weight. Ruti doesn’t give us easy answers because there aren’t any. She captures that feeling of being stuck in limbo, where every breath is both a relief and a reminder that there’s no clear way out.

Lungs acknowledges your struggle while allowing a space needed for longing. A breath you finally exhale after holding it in for too long.

Bonus - check the Calibre remix.
